JAYLOVEBABY
I Am JAY LOVE. Born in Texas. Raised in Atlanta GA. Musically inspired by the likes of Prince, Earth Wind & Fire, Bob Marley, Kraftwek, Afrika Bambatta & Run Dmc. I've had quite the love affair with hip hop. I was attracted to the art of breakdancing. Local performances exposed me to the art of deejaying. The 2turntables was my 1st love. While producing music is the art I said I do to. Until death do we part.
At 16,I began making beats for friends around my way. Ultimately one of my beats founds it way to local rap star Kilo Ali. A mutual friend introduced us. Who knew a chance encounter with Kilo would jump start my career as a record producer. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to work with ATL’s brightest stars. Including Black Dave (whose 1999 classic Big Mama “Go Big Girl” peaked at #10 on the Billboard charts & landed a spot in Martin Lawrence’s Big Momma’s House), Lil Jon & The Eastsideboys, Khia, The Ying Yang Twins & Outkast. In 2000 I inked my first solo deal as a rap artist under the stage name Dj Crazy Craze. After releasing 2 albums on Power Records I found myself back at square one after the label went bankrupt in 2005. I continued producing for other artist.
In 2009 I recorded the single "In Your Face" I shopped it to Fox 5. Ken Rodriguez (host of Fox’s Sports show High 5 Sports) adapted it as the theme song. It can still be heard to this day generating royalties with each broadcast, after Fox purchased exclusive rights to the song. That single came from my freshman album "EGO-CENTRIC" under my new stage name Jay Love Baby. Consequently I went on to create a number of theme songs for Fox.
Currently I'm producing a new cd geared towards the field of film/tv licensing and dance clubs. I'm always interested in collaborating with other artist/producers. Collaborations make thee best music.
My sophomore album "Party Til Sunrise" is due 2012 release. The first single is Adidas & Sweat.
