Jeannine Burnier

Burnier & Brix

Partners in life as well as careers, Jeannine and Karl, or as their family and friends often refer to them, Fingers and Funny Girl, have been collaborating on special musical material since college days at the University of Illinois.  After graduation they moved to Los Angeles and eventually married out of necessity (Jeannine didn't sound that good singing a cappella, and Karl couldn't cook).

In the ensuing years, they successfully pursued their respective careers: Jeannine as a comedienne and television comedy writer/performer earning an Emmy nomination along the way; Karl as a vocal coach, pianist and composer.

For almost 20 years, Jeannine toured the US and the UK, playing major concert venues and casino showrooms as the featured comedienne with legendary singing star Johnny Mathis.

"My Life As A Musical Revue" is a collection of songs Jeannine and Karl have written together and includes several numbers performed by Jeannine both on tour and on television.  Their most recent creative effort, "Over The Hill" is featured here as the encore selection and accurately portrays their present outlook on life, as well as their show business philosophy in general: If it gets a laugh, keep it in the act!
