Mikans inception began in a little apartment in Yugawara, Japan.

Its founding member, Matt Baker, originally from the UK, has been an avid writer of ambient music for many years.

His experiences of Japan imprinted themselves on his music.He succeeds with a fine sensitivity to capture the subtle moods that Japan has left on his memories.
